Comments Cinnebar can create huge racemes of little vermilion flowers on an open, lanky plant The effect is noteworthy, if not pretty. Reputedly, R. roxburghii imparted a good measure of blackspot resistance to this floribunda.

BTW: Tantau released Cinnebar and Cinnebar improved (Cinnebar x Kathe Duvigneau) x Cinnebar. Perhaps some roses labelled Cinnebar are the second iteration. It might also be reasonable to assume that Cinnebar is more of a useful article in the rose breeding trade today than it is as a good garden rose.
