Comments This is the original Noisette, a cross between Old Blush and the musk rose. It is not remontant, but it is very foliferous. And the flowers are rather fragrant. A fair question to ask about this rose might be "Why plant it when I could plant a rose that blooms all summer long?" One possibility is its historical significance as the first noisette. Another is it relative freedom from care; it is healthy and vigorous. A third is its lack of pretense- its simple charm.
