Comments It's a vigorous climber with shiny leaves and dark pink buds kissed with orange that open and fade to pale pink. Wherever it blooms at Rosaraie de l'Hay, it steals the show. Some have claimed that this is among the most widely planted of roses in England; and that the site of Albertine in full bloom and completely covered in blossoms is one of the most common scenes in the English countryside. American gardens could benefit from wider use of Albertine on walls and arches.
