Comments Cadenza produces small clusters of roses in a cheery pure red. Under bright sun, the red can sometimes grow very dark. Although they are usually bright and cheery, it's hard to argue that they are individually attractive. Cadenza can, however, look really good growing with blue or gray leafed plants that echo the pallor that can sometimes be seen on the reverse side of the rose petal. It can be treated as a climber or a narrow shrub. It may take three or four years to really hit its stride. The plant is sturdy and resistant to disease.
