Good for Mediterranian Climates

Comments When it can be grown in Mediterranean climates and in good soil, this can be a spectacular rose. Botanica's Roses suggests a cold-hardiness problem, a dislike of searing heat, and a blackspot problem. This would limit its distribution to certain narrow strips of land in California, Oregon, Australia, and France. Its AARS award promises that it should fair well in many American gardens outside California given adequate care. Its ARS rating puts it well above average. If it is to be enjoyed at its best, nowhere is this likely to be a good candidate for those who would just stick the rose in the ground and wait for great flowers.
