Comments The frame of Botzaris is slightly more compact than that of the white damask against which this rose might best be measured, Madame Hardy. The flowers are about the same diameter, but more deeply cupped. In both cases fragrance is strong and typical of damask roses. In both cases the roses tolerate poor soil, a bit of shade, and occasional dryness. It's a great rose for a small garden. BTW: Botzaris was named in honor of Katerina Botsaris of Greece
