Comments In cool weather the high-centered blooms open a dark gold, copper, or rich apricot color. They fade in heat and light to a soft yellow. They are redolent of fresh tobacco. Certainly in cool summer zones we expect the rose to be vigorous and free of disease; and it should do well in Mediterranean climates, too. It's a must-have for those who covet gold and apricot tinged flowers and who live where it will thrive.
