Comments The cupped flowers are large, about four inches across. They are borne in large clusters on a tall, arching shrub that was introduced first as a climber, then as a large floribunda. The plant is vigorous and well covered with dark, glossy foliage that is very resistant to blackspot; but it can suffer from mildew. It has a very romantic old-rose sensibility and at a distance, this could very well be taken for a David Austin rose. Sadly, there is not much fragrance. Some complain that the flowers are too easily ruined by rain.
