Comments Mauve buds open to bright, almost garish magenta flowers with a touch of yellow at the center. Sometimes they render a little closer to red and pink. It's not a rose for your normal flower arrangement. Whether one thinks the rose is cheery, bright, and fun or odd, garish and hard to fit into a planting scheme will be a matter of taste. In any case, its a very vigorous and disease-free plant that produces flowers freely and with good continuity. And the fragrance of the flower is a delicious and strong clove.
