Comments In bud, the flowers - which can have a strong and delicious scent - start a rich apricot mottled with crimson. They open into roses with soft apricot or pink on the front of the flower and a little more red pigment on the reverses of the flowers, sometimes bleeding through. The architecture of the flower seems pretty simple by hybrid tea standards, but its coloring is more complicated than that of the typical tea rose. The plant itself is extremely cold hardy, quite vigorous, and fairly resistant to disease.
