Comments Laura Ford is a climbing miniature rose with yellow blossoms that can will typically open a strong chrome yellow, but may fade a bit once open. The stamens are a nice contrasting orange, extending the interest of the flower well past bud stage. There are precious few other climbing miniature roses: Jeanne Lajoie, Red Cascade, Magic Dragon come to mind. This makes Laura Ford a very special rose, and very popular. It is listed as being very disease resistant; and it probably is in climates like the one where it was bred; but gardeners growing it in zone 8 complain that it is a blackspot magnet like pretty much every other modern rose in the garden. It's best grown where summers are not sultry.
