Comments It's a big, rampant rambler that, when in full bloom, covers itself for two weeks with white or pale pink flowers that are about an inch across. There is some scent variously described as 'violets, lemon, musk..." Some argue that a century or so back R. brunoni was sold as R. moschata until the latter was replaced by the former. And, they lament, that the fine, true R. moschata scent vanished with it. More here... Perhaps it is so, but to assert this with certainty is to ascribe to a whole generation of rose growers a total contempt for scent in roses, which seems a little unlikely.
