Comments Vanity is unlike most of Pemberton's hybrid musks in two ways. Felicia, Prosperity, Moonlight, and Penelope are shrubby and nicely branched. Vanity, on the other hand tends to build a very open shrub with joints that make right angles to each other. And it is unique in its dark and reddish color ranging from a dusky crimson or violet to a medium rose in color. The scale of the blossoms can be a little small for the size of the shrub. And it doesn't grow that fast. Finally, one might argue that the blossoms aren't really that special. What one can say about it, though, is that a well grown one in full bloom will knock your socks off.
