Comments The rose produces yellow and magenta pigments in varying amounts and proportions creating a rather variable rose blossom. The bloom one hopes for has apricot/gold central petals framed by deep coral outer petals. Sadly, that's the exceptional flower. But its other mix of pink and yellow can be interesting too. Good luck growing it. It is evidently a challenge. ARS members rate it 5.3, which is sometimes translated "not quite as good as good garden mulch." There is reason to believe that the rose is cold hardy to zone 5, but it may not do well unless given plenty of heat and light and dry air in the summer. Broad availability of the rose suggests that some find it worth the trouble.
