Comments For an old gallica rose its flowers are large, measuring 3 inches across. Botanica's Roses goes on to call this "a superb rose of distinction." Photos of roses grown in anglophone gardens depict a bush is well clad with dark foliage which sets off the neat pale pink flowers to perfection. It is sometimes depicted elsewhere as a dark and somewhat ragged rose held against bright, chartreuse foliage.
