Comments "One of the best yellows for bedding and borders," according to Botanica's Roses (p571) and "Good for cutting and glasshouse cultivation but not so useful in the garden.." according to the Illustrated Encyclopedia of Roses (p212). The color is a clear, yellow sometimes bordering on primrose and sometimes reaching a screaming chrome yellow in intensity. It really glows against the dark foliage. There is a good scent. The rose, evidently, can grow a little leggy. Presence in gardens in Montana, Alabama, and Arkansas suggests that it has some degree of cold hardiness and at least moderate resistance to blackspot.
