Comments The flower petals are a bright vermilion with a yellow reverse, fading to pink. Blossoms are high-centered, rather plump, and held against bright green glossy foliage. Although there exist a number of roses with roughly the same specifications, Sue Ryder always seems to present with a more distinguished look. Sadly, there is little scent. We must assume either that some of the rose's strengths are diluted or that certain new faults are revealed when it is grown in a place not much like where it was raised, since its sole distributer is the firm that introduced it.
