Comments Who expects a rose to produce high-centered flowers in orangish colors facing upward on a leggy plant need not pay much attention to Sophy's Perpetual. It makes cupped flowers in mixed tones of dusky pink. These hang pendulously from wiry stems produced by a very well branched plant. Characteristic of a china rose, its blossoms darken as they age, reaching a rich crimson in warm and sunny climates. Definitely a rose for waem climates, it is only barely hardy in zone 7. The name suggests its rather pronounced continuity of bloom.
