Comments Sonia is one of a tiny handful of hybrid teas that have made the leap from the cut-flower trade to the garden. The cut flowers last up to 15 days, the plant is highly resistant to disease. The petals are a warm shell pink, with central petals verging on pale apricot. They reflex gently as the flower opens slowly. A single high-centered blossom can be a thing of great beauty. These factors weigh in its favor. It is hardy enough that determined growers with adequate supplies of mulch can nurse it through zone 5 winters. It's only deficiency is lack of fragrance.
