Comments This rose is believed to be ancestor of virtually all modern red roses. Because of its rather extreme remontance, it is reputed to be one of the best continuously flowering red roses for the warm climate. Some will dislike the lax shape of the plant or the informal look of the cupped and open flowers. The petals have crimson faces and pinkish reverses which can either add interest or seem distracting.
