Comments As the pile of awards and the stellar ARS ratings attest, this is an exceptionally exceptional rose. It is vigorous, disease free, well-formed, and interestingly colored. This is one of a small number of roses including Savoy Hotel that always looks great in photographs. It is one of a handful of hybrid tea roses that really is close to being disease free in damp climates, owing to its kordesii heritage. I grew it in deep shade and dry soil. It languished and did not bloom; but it survived even when a nearby alba died of drought.
