Comments Pink petals darken to cerise at the edges. The reverse is creamy white. It is also large, fragrant, and beautiful. It is, however, one more of a very long list of "West Coast" roses whose weaknesses: susceptibility to blackspot and frost tenderness are not of great concern to most gardeners in that region. It will be grown there for a very long time. Gardeners north and east of, say, Reno will choose something ever so slightly less gorgious but a great deal more amenable to humidity and cold such as Tantau's Lady Like.
