Comments Reimer Kordes named this rose in honor of the American Rose Society's facility and gardens in Louisiana where it is grown with some considerable success. Photos at HMF from that garden depict beds of roses lush with healthy foliage and heavy with perfect bloom. There are photos of it growing in Columbus, Ohio and Alberta, Canada suggesting a cold hardiness well in excess of zone 7b. But there are rumors that it really is a martyr to blackspot in the deep south. And ARS members rate it a middling 7.0. Perhaps
