Comments Seafoam is widely available because of its nearly flawless health, its vigor, and its willingness to bloom heavily through the season. After about four years of cultivation it really does cover the ground nicely to waist height. It blooms so generously that at full bloom its hard to see the green foliage beneath all the flowers. It manages well on poor soil and seems to tolerate dryness and root competition from trees better than most roses. It is not perfect: it languishes in brutally hot and sunny locations of the south and may suffer from blackspot there.
