Comments The buds open yellow and the outer petals quickly darken toward scarlet. As the flowers age the yellow pigment fades and they turn a soft coral red. Individual flowers are small but they are borne in large clusters of seven to ten or more. There is definitely a festive sensibility to the display, even when the flower colors are a little more pale. The plant is vigorous, hardy, disease resistant and foliferous. It is also remontant. There is some spicy fragrance.
