Comments Coppery petals darken toward coral then fade to shell pink. The flower really is a wonderfully soft orange for the garden. It's a bit of a mystery why the rose is hard to find stateside. A gardener in Missouri writes that it is "beautiful, fragrant, vigorous, and winter hardy." That's about as good as it gets with hybrid tea roses. It may not be a perfect rose where mildew is a severe problem, but it might be very good lots of other places.
