Comments There are few solid roses in this color range: Rosie O'Donnell, Leonidas, and... I cannot think of another red/yellow reverse bicolor. Rosie's flowers are not large, only just approaching 4 inches across. But the impact is far greater, with searing bright red petals whose reverse is generally a bright yellow. Under some conditions that yellow doesn't form and the rose resembles Love. What really kicks things up is the very dark bronze new foliage that sets off the flowers to perfection. The plant is temperamental, though. Given perfect conditions it will progress slowly and grudgingly. It sulks in blistering hot weather and may not be very cold hardy. It is said to grow in Houston, though not vigorously.
