Comments Although this rose is officially catalogued as a hybrid tea rose it captures much more of the tea roses sensibility. The rose has a broader and shrubbier development. Having no R. foetida heritage it is immune to blackspot and is therefore a good rose for the US South. The blossoms have the classic tea rose form with broad outer petals that blush to dark pink or rose and inner petals that are narrow, pleated, and flushed with soft yellow. In between, the pigments mix and the rose has a kind of rainbow effect. At times the colors can be bright, at others soft. But the effect is rarely garish. The plant performs well, even in temperatures exceeding 100F, blooming with good continuity.
