Comments Well grown, it can make huge, shapely blossoms of near perfect hybrid tea form in a color between red and a soft dusky rose. These blossoms emit a strong fragrance of citrus and old rose. The plant thrives on heat. A San Diego rose grower claims it is disease-free, though that's not a very high hurdle. Gardeners with similar weather are likely to be delighted with it. Elsewhere on the west coast it is evidently susceptible to rust. It has survived to bloom in Michigan and Maryland.
