Comments This rose is so named because the centifolia is the rose of the Dutch Masters. Rose des Peintres bears pink flowers that are deeply cupped and quartered in precisely the romantic style that David Austin has been promoting for half a century. Were this rose well branched, unconditionally healthy, and remontant there would be much less motivation for his lifetime's work.
