Comments This is a rose of many strengths. It is vigorous, cold hardy, very foliferous, and very remontant. It produces bright, pure red flowers the color of geraniums, and these look good held against bright green, glossy foliage. On the downside, the plant is rather lax and sprawling; but that's the definition of a groundcover rose. As a groundcover, it doesn't always hold its roses in a conveniently even way, making it look a little splotchy sometimes. Landscapers will love it for its strenghts, rose snobs will hate it for its formless flowers and lack of fragrance. Sadly, it is also rather prone to blackspot, suggesting it is a bad choice for the US Southeast.
