Roses that are Classified as Noisettes

Noisettes are vigorous climbing roses that resulted first from crossing a china rose with r. moschata, the musk rose. Later, noisettes were crossed with tea roses which resulted in tea-noisettes. The early noisettes tend to have lots of small flowers, are very remontant, and quite fragrant - mostly in white or pink. The tea crosses tend to have larger flowers in richer colors. Sadly most noisettes fail in zone 7 or colder weather. Where they are cold hardy, noisettes can be among the most dramatic and lovely roses in a garden.
