Low Roses | Bushes | Shrubs | Climbers
|Sunset Celebration - as captured here in San Jose Rose Garden creates roses whose pale apricot petals fade toward buff as the flower opens. The rose is complemented by pale green foliage that has a tinge of olive green in it. The rose in Botanica is a stronger orange, and the new foliage is bronze. Assuming the rose is capable of either look, it's an interesting rose; beautiful either way.
The plant is vigorous and disease resistant. It produces fragrant flowers with good continuity. well branched and foliaged, the plants look good in bed or border. It has won numerous awards including the AARS in 1998. ARS members rate it 7.8.
