Low Roses | Bushes | Shrubs | Climbers
|Using the same trick as Mutabilis and Masquerade, this rose creates roses in every pastel tint of red and yellow. Flowers open primrose, then turn pale apricot, shell pink, pink, then pale pink. It's quite a trip. And boy is it fun to watch.
The rose is offered only by nurseries in very warm locales, and the other roses that behave this way need warm weather, so we're going to guess that warm, sunny weather is required for good results.
ARS members rate it 7.7, suggesting it has a solid health record and it really can look as we see it here. (I took the photo and I still have trouble believing it.)
