Stars 'n' Stripes

Low Roses | Bushes | Shrubs | Climbers
Photo of Rose Charles de Gaulle Stars and Stripes was the first striped mini released by Moore just in time of America's bicentennial in 1976. It inherited its stripes from one of two good-looking striped old roses, Ferdinand Pichard.

As a mini, this rose did not strike me as being exceptionally small - in fact it was not until I looked up its information that I realized it was a mini. (My how the size of 'large flowered' roses has shrunk in the last several decades!)
