Saratoga has been eclipsed by Iceberg. By every rose gardeners's account Iceberg is a better rose. When I consider the roses from a photographic instead of a horticultural veiwpoint, however, I find Saratoga more photogenic.
It bears plenty of white flowers and they are spaced nicely around the plant. The flowers are larger and in good scale with the rest of the plant. And the spaces between them emphasize their presence. The dark green glossy foliage sets them off to perfection. ARS members rate it 6.3. That's "it will do nicely in a pinch." |
