How much bright scarlet red color can a rose produce? Sarabande provides the answer. This is one of those unconditionally durable Meilland landscape roses. Don't grow it for its individual blossoms: grow it for its massed effect.

ARS members give it a respectable 8.0.

The garden designer of Roseraie de l'Hay has spread vast numbers of these roses at the end of the central promenade. And here it is grown in a prominent bed at Berkeley Municipal Garden.
