When I first saw the flowers of Rose de Rescht I was surprised to find that they were only about an inch and a half across. And when I saw this specimen I was disappointed that so many of the roses were faded. But if one can look past these minor faults and see a rose that is almost unconditionally healthy, well branched, nicely foliaged, fragrant, and repeat-flowering, one can get a glimpse of a rose worthy of the years of veneration it has collected. ARS members rate it 8.9. It's not a number that will make sense until one has failed with flashier roses. |
