Low Roses | Bushes | Shrubs | Climbers
Photo of Rose Penelope

I recall it happened just once in two days at Roseraie de l'Hay: I saw a rose from far away across the garden and had to go check it out immediately - It was Primavere.

It's a wichuriana rambler bred by Barbier. Here, the flowers are primrose and in a shape reminiscent of Gloire de Dijon. According to Botanica they can also be yellow and have flat petals.

In this exact shade and shape they complement the foliage perfectly. And when the plant is in full bloom it creates a stunning effect, though subtle.
