While most of the breeders in the world were breeding hybrid teas to create new roses in a lighter shade of pale, Poulsen was busy refining Lambert's ideas on landscape roses. His company has worked for many decades create a massive lineup of roses that were vigorous, unconditionally healthy, very well branched and densely foliaged, and completely covered with flowers, from spring to winter. Perhaps not all his roses reached this ideal but a remarkable number of them approached it closely. This is one of those.
It will make a good hedge or ground cover, and the cheery pink flowers do posess some light perfume. |
