Cerise buds open to warmly colored flowers (left). The yellow pigment found also in parent Playboy fades quickly and the petals become a dull mauve. These, too, are pretty but I think the stamens clash. The wavy petals have quite a bit of substance and the flower does well on the show bench. Playgirl blooms frequently and is generous in bloom. And it's healthy. ARS members rate it 8.2. |
