Photo of Rose Old Romeo

Breeders spend their lives trying to develop blue roses, but of all the missing colors, I think black is the one of most interest to the rose-buying public. This rose is about as close to black as I've seen. It's only two inches across. And the plant had produced just one flower.

Because the plant does not exceed three feet in height, this might be a good rose to weave into a perennial bed or border - if you can find it. No promises about health.
