Imperial yellow flowers are borne against plentiful, glossy, dark green foliage. The flowers are shaped like old roses but are large like modern roses. This is perhaps the best looking of Meilland's 'Romantica' roses - the continental response to the English rose.

We expect this rose to be fairly healthy since ARS members give it a rating in the mid sevens. And the foliage certainly looks clean.

There is a very good 'hand painted' rose by McGredy of the same name, introduced a year earlier. It is orange and yellow.
