Love and Peace
Low Roses | Bushes | Shrubs | Climbers
|It's peace redux - brighter and cheaper. This specimen at San Jose Rose Garden had plenty of olive green glossy foliage which set off the yellow parts of the blossoms nicely. But if one is to quibble, that foliage color is not very good with the coral part of the rose. Of course if you grow them for cutting it's not an issue.
The rose is pretty, but its petals are not quite long enough to make this a premium cutting rose. Will it be so damn healthy and foliferous that it will be grown decades from now despite these minor flaws? Perhaps. I'm a little skeptical.
