Jens Munk

Fragrant & Remontant
Low Roses | Bushes | Shrubs | Climbers
Photo of Rose Jens Munk I bought Jens Munk because with an ARS rating of 8.8 it has to be good. In three years it has lived in three locations in my yard and it has thrived through shade, drought, poor soil, and three relocations. It's toughness is not a question. There is no disease.

The blossoms are pretty, fragrant, and produced in flushes through the season.

But... The shrub is a little lanky and open for my taste. It's not as foliferous as I expected. And the plant does not release spent petals. They brown and hang on for many days making the plant look uglier than it otherwise would. I give it 7.3: the rose is all brawn, with precious little beauty.
