When Heritage and Graham Thomas were displayed at the Chelsea Flower Show in 1984 they created a great stir and assured the success of Austin's breeding program. The program was edging toward its twenty fifth year, and we can all be grateful that there was this breakthrough.
There are still many who find the simple cupped formation, alluring shell pink color, and delicious scent of Heritage the most compelling package among David Austin's roses. Heritage is rated 8.4 by ARS members. I may be the only person in history to have killed two in three years. |
