About halfway through his career as a breeder McGredy stated that of the roses he'd bred Handel was his favorite. The flowers certainly are unique. As the central petals peel back, they fade from yellow to white, but a strong pink flush moves in from the tips until it covers each fully open petal. The plant is nicely foliaged. And the foliage is glossy and disease resistant. ARS members are happy, rating it 8.0. It works best grown on a pillar where the outward facing flowers will appear at, above, and below eye level. |
