It would only be a slight exaggeration to say Lambert invented the polyantha class and he came pretty close to inventing the hybrid musk class. Most of his creations have the kind of unconditionally healthy constitutions for which Wilhelm Kordes' roses were later known.
This rose, for instance, is rated 8.9 by ARS members.
The rose is foliferous, very well branched and foliaged. And the foliage is about as clean as it gets.
