Whenever someone complains that fragrance is lost from modern roses, this is the rose used most frequently as the conterexample - or as the exception that proves the rule - depending on which side of the issue you stand. Its large, coral colored blossoms are reputedly among the most fragrant in rosedom. It is one of the handful of roses to win a Gamble award for fragrance. And it is one of the dozen or so roses voted the World's Favorite Rose. ARS members rate it 8.1. |
