Photo of Rose Penelope

This was once a popular rose. The blossom is quite beautiful, but the plant in this photo suffers mightily from mildew. No other plant in this garden was measurably touched by the disease, but this one was decimated by it.

ARS members rate it 6.5. Where its disease problems can be overcome, its rare soft orange color and nice fragrance win the day. Also, there are few other good choices in orange Hybrid Teas.
